Belgian artist Christian Vlegels
You need to be able to draw in a way that creates fantasy and makes an event seem real. Not every artist will be able to create a "photo" and win the attention of the public. The author of the paintings that I'm talking about today, Christian Vlegels, has a talent that makes her work wonders, just look at her work. The realist artist was born in Belgium, in 1964.Since childhood, the little girl has been attracted to painting. Growing up in her hometown of Shoten, she turned everything she saw into a casual fantasy. After that, the girl's parents decided to send her after 7th grade to the Academy of Fine Arts, where she was accepted without exams. For 5 years, the famous Herman Cornelis, a master of realistic painting and modeling, became her and her teachers. After gaining experience, Christian decides to enroll in the Institute of Decorative Arts in Antwerp. For 3 years, the young artist has been absorbing, like a sponge, knowledge of nature illustration, decoration and advertising. The acquired experience helps Vlegels to enroll in the Royal Academy of Arts (SISA). There, the Belgian talent learns about the restoration of paintings, their oil painting and the hidden details of drawing and reproducing what he saw.Performing paintings to order, a girl meets her soulmate and gets married.Since the beginning of 1986, she and her husband have been moving to the city of Cologne. Having lived in Germany for 6 years, Christian has been organizing his own exhibitions with a focus on fantasy. In the gallery of Fine Arts, the artist's works were in great demand. Art historians said that during the presentation, the paintings were purchased by collectors from Germany, Egypt, France, and the United Kingdom. After some time, Christian returns to his homeland in Belgium, where he is engaged in the restoration of paintings to order, painting landscapes. She lives there to this day.The artist boldly combines fantastic realities in her works, a share of tenderness and detailing some elements on canvases, embellishes them. Christian Vlegels uses oil paints to paint beautiful people's faces, accentuating their most beautiful features in appearance, creating an image like in a photograph, so many visitors to exhibitions cannot distinguish a picture from a painting.Unlike other artists, Christian has his own specific style, which is based on the basics*The basics is a technique in painting, the name of which translates from ancient Greek as brothers. Its creators are considered to be the brothers Kosmas Damian (born in 1686) and Aegis Querin (born in 1692). Their father was the master of fresco painting Hans Georg Azam. The style combines early Baroque with a deep illusory breakthrough and sculptural image. In the paintings, the artist skillfully depicts the human anatomy. She plays the portrait in such a way that there is not a drop of artificiality in it.On the canvas "Girl with a horse" the author embodies youthful carelessness, thoughtfulness and beauty. At first glance, the canvas is a photograph, but upon closer inspection, you can see that the painted details (the horse's mane and tail) are part of the portrait. The organic combination of colors in white and beige tones, with a slight addition of gray, exudes a warm longing. A little woman sits alone on a horse and fantasizes about something. The girl with the horse in the picture has hidden symbols. Christian compares the girl's growing up to her fantasies, which remain in her memories as she grows up. The horse is a symbol of the passing of time, the girl's dress is the desire of a young lady to remain in a carefree state. Many experts believe that the image of women on the board, and in particular on the aluminum panels, conveys a "lively look" to her portraits. The presence of hidden symbols indicates the artist's penchant for symbolism, naturalism and romanticism in her paintings. In addition, the artist strives to emphasize femininity in any form, both fantasy and everyday.A modern copy of Rubens' "Daniel in a Pit with lions". The painting is quite successful, but it cannot surpass the classics. On some canvases, the style I wrote about above is clearly expressed. That is, the artist, having no skills in sculpture, but inspired by the works of masters of her craft, paints paintings with their images. For example, a plot where two newts try to shorten two stallions. ¡Bienvenidos a Farmacia Mera Cerrato , tu farmacia de confianza en Parla!
